Here’s everything you need to know.

Where I come from.
I was born and raised in rural England, more specifically in the historic market town of Grantham.
As you’d expect from a copywriter, English literature and language were always my strong points, starting from a young age.
I studied at Canterbury Christ Church University in England, before moving to the Netherlands in 2015 to study at the University of Groningen.
Lots of places have that joke about “you can take the person out of [insert-town], but you can’t take the [insert-town] out of the person”, but that’s certainly true when it comes to me and Grantham. As soon as I start to speak, there’s no mistaking where I come from.

Who I am.
If you’ve made it this far, you probably already know that I’m a copywriter.
But when I’m not writing (which is both a job and a hobby for me) I’m most likely to be found cooking, gardening, travelling, or planning one of those three things.
I’d describe myself as reliable but laidback, flexible but organised, and professional but fun to be around.
If you like getting the job done to a high standard, on time, with minimal fuss and a little humour when appropriate, we’d probably get on well!
I’m based in Groningen (Netherlands) but I often travel both within the Netherlands and further afield.

My career.
Other than a brief stint at a fastfood restaurant just after graduating from my bachelor’s degree, writing has always been a part of my work.
Whether it was creating a community newsletter, taking minutes, drafting email templates or writing a user manual, writing has always been a running theme for me.
However, it was only when working at Philips that copywriting appeared on my radar as a potential career.
Since then, I’ve turned my passion for writing into a full time job, taking on freelance projects alongside my day job at Philips.
